Ziad Rahbani was born in Lebanon in 1956 to composer Assi Rahbani and singer Fairuz. He formed his band in 1973, with musicians including Marwan Rahbani on guitar and Roger Khoury on bass.
His music mixed Arabic rhythms with Western harmonies, creating complex melodies and arrangements. He released albums like "Ana Ma'a Al-Ghawagib" in 1980 and "Sahar El-Layali" in 1982. He also collaborated with artists including his mother Fairuz and Umm Kulthum.
Ziad Rahbani died in 2013. His work remains influential in Arabic music, known for its innovation and lyrical depth.
