Ziggi Recado formed in 1995, led by singer and songwriter Ephraim 'Ziggi' Morgan. Their debut album 'Sit and Wonder' came out in 1999 and included the track 'Joka Smoka,' which became something of an anthem in reggae circles.
They've put out seven studio albums, including 'Redemption' in 2007 and 'The Healing of the Nation' in 2014. Another notable song in their catalog is 'Liberation.' The band performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2007, which helped broaden their audience beyond Jamaica.
Ziggi Recado has worked with artists like Damian Marley and Stephen Marley. The current lineup includes Morgan on vocals and guitar, Christopher 'Drummie B' Bonner on drums, Rohan 'Jah B' Bonner on bass, Michael 'Mikey Dread' Lawson on keyboards, and Paul 'Dutty Paul' Morgan on percussion.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
