Zilanda Valentin began her professional singing career in 1984, performing in Brazil and Europe. Her debut album 'Tudo Azul' came out in 1986, featuring the song 'Um Anjo Serei' that became an immediate hit. She studied voice at conservatories in São Paulo and Paris.
Her music often dealt with spiritual themes, as heard in songs like 'Bíblia Sagrada,' 'Meu Deus,' and 'Sim, Deus Existe.' Other tracks like 'Eu Tenho Um Amigo' and 'Com Cristo Entre as Estrelas' continued in this vein. She released several albums including 'Zilanda' in 1988, 'A Esmeralda' in 1990, and 'Gaia Vermelha' in 1994.
She worked with musicians including guitarist Marvio Ciribelli, bassist Beto Villares, drummer Edu Ribeiro, and keyboardist Marcelo Martins. Her later albums included 'A Canção do Amor' in 2000 and a collection titled 'Um Anjo Serei' in 2010.
