Zimbauê formed in Salvador da Bahia in the early 1990s with members Neto, Dinho, and Rafael. The band's sound pulls from Brazilian rhythms like samba, reggae, and axé, mixed with funk and rock touches.
They released albums including "Vale do Dendê" in 1996, "Navegando nas Ondas" in 1999, and "Praias do Mundo" in 2003. Their song "Amor de Rapariga" became widely known, along with tracks like "Mal Acostumado."
Zimbauê toured internationally, playing shows in Europe, North America, and Africa. Neto handled lead vocals, Dinho played guitar, and Rafael was on bass.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
