Zimrah formed in Argentina during the mid-1980s, led by singer-songwriter Jorge Aravena. Their debut album 'El Viento de Dios' came out in 1986. The band's most recognized song is probably 'Vuelvo a La Oración,' which appeared on their 1989 album of the same name.
In 1992, Aravena faced sexual misconduct allegations that led to a hiatus. The charges were eventually dismissed, but the episode affected the group's momentum. Some listeners also found their lyrical approach polarizing within Christian music circles.
Zimrah has released several albums over the decades, including 'Unidos en Oración' in 1991 and 'Restauración' in 2014. The lineup has changed at times, with early members including Claudio Bazán on bass and Hernán Arancibia on keyboards.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
