Archive material and source history
Zinc formed in the late 1980s with Jamie Stewart on vocals and guitar, Alex Senderson on bass, Steve Shelley on drums, and John MacLean on keyboards. Their debut album 'The Sun' came out in 1991 and included the track 'Arrows At The Sun,' which became one of their better-known songs.
A second album called 'Dish' followed in 1993, showing a shift toward more experimental sounds. The band's lineup changed over time, with MacLean departing and Dominic Cramp joining on bass later in the decade. They put out a few more records, including 'High Priest of Lowlife' in 1995 and '13 Occult Classics' in 1998.
Zinc broke up in 2001. Their catalog includes songs like 'Creeper,' 'Drive By Car,' and 'The Morning After.'
