Zion formed in Greece in the early 2000s, started by childhood friends Dimitris Halkidis and Konstantinos Koutsoudis. They were joined by guitarist Marios Papadimitriou and bassist Yiorgos Koussiouris. Their debut album 'Ethos' came out in 2008, followed by 'En Antistasi' in 2010.
Their song 'Alone' became particularly well-known, a ballad that connected with listeners. Other tracks like 'Drakula (The Son Of The Devil)' and 'When Love Bleeds In Vain' show the band's range. They've released several albums since, including 'Imeres' in 2013 and 'Chronika' in 2018.
In 2012, the band faced some public attention over an accusation about their song 'Zeus,' though they moved past it. The lineup has remained the same four members since those early days.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
