Zions Abyss started playing in Utah around 2007, originally calling themselves Eternal Void. They were a heavy metal band that built up a local following through live shows. In 2011, they put out an album called 'Changing Sands,' which included the title track that became popular with their fans. The record showed them moving into more progressive and atmospheric territory while keeping their metal roots.
Their discography includes 'Eternal Void' from 2008, 'Into the Depths' from 2013, 'Ascendancy' from 2016, and 'Odyssey' from 2019. The band members are Alex McCann on vocals, Mark Christiansen on guitar, Cody Johnson on bass, and Spencer Witt on drums. Other songs in their catalog include 'Darkest Dream,' 'Final Command,' and 'Running Out Of Time.'
They've collaborated with musicians like Tommy Rogers from Between the Buried and Me and Jeff Loomis from Arch Enemy.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
