Zipcy formed in Los Angeles in the late 2000s around songwriter Stacy King and guitarist Cory Hanson. Their debut EP came out in 2014, with the title track 'Salad Days' becoming an indie favorite. The band's first full-length album, 'The Clearing,' followed in 2016.
Bassist Chris Warren and drummer Brendan Peleo-Lazar have played with the group at times. In 2018, Zipcy faced a plagiarism lawsuit over 'Salad Days' that was settled out of court. They put out another album called 'In the Air' in 2021.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
