Zitten formed in 2011 with Loïc Rozé on vocals, Alex Barbet on guitar, Thomas Lallemand on bass, and Julien Audigier on drums. Their debut EP 'The Lighthouse Keeper' came out in 2013, and the single 'I'll Be There' from 2015 became their first noticeable hit. They've put out three albums: 'Silence' in 2016, 'Past the Light' in 2019, and 'Sleepless' in 2022.
Their songs like 'Opening My Eyes' and 'Because' lean toward indie-folk with melancholic textures and Rozé's airy vocal delivery. They've played festivals including Coachella and Glastonbury. In 2018, Rozé spoke publicly about dealing with depression and anxiety, themes that surface in some of their lyrics.
After 'Sleepless' came out, the band toured to support it. Their lineup has stayed mostly the same since the beginning.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
