Archive material and source history
Zlad was a Serbian band that started in the early 1980s, mixing punk energy with electronic sounds. Their first album, 'Elektronik Supersonik,' came out in 1981 and gave them a title track that became a local anthem. The lineup included Srđan 'Gibonni' Todorović on vocals, Zoran 'Zlaja' Jovanović on guitar, Goran 'Gale' Marjanović on bass, and Srđan 'Ekki' Milutinović on drums.
They followed up with albums like 'Svi Zajedno' in 1983 and 'Zašto Da Ne!?' in 1984, keeping that rough electronic punk feel going. Another song people remember is 'I Am The Antipope,' which showed their knack for catchy, slightly off-kilter tunes.
Their live shows were known for being loud and confrontational, which sometimes got them in trouble with authorities. They kept putting out records through the '80s, including 'Neka Bude Šta Bude' in 1986 and a self-titled album in 1988, before winding down in the early '90s.
