Zlatko Vuletic was born in 1958 in Krusevac. He started playing music early and formed a band called Rock Solitari as a teenager. In the early 1980s, he went solo and released several albums, including one titled after his signature song 'I Know' in 1983.
Some of his songs drew criticism for their political content. He kept writing songs that challenged social injustice anyway.
His albums include 'The Black Sea' from 1981, 'The Gypsy Heart' from 1987, 'Black Rain' from 1990, and 'The Book of Love and War' from 2003. He worked with musicians like Zoran Marjanovic on guitar and collaborated with singers including Aleksandra Kovač and Biljana Krstić.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
