Zlomrak

Zlomrak formed in Russia during the early 1990s, a time when metal bands there often operated on the fringes. They worked through lineup changes and limited resources, eventually finding their footing in the underground scene. Their 1997 album "Возрождение" ("Rebirth") became a notable release, helping establish their presence.

Their music draws from black, death, and doom metal, with songs like "Голодное Отродье" and "Смерть Соединит Нас" exploring themes of mortality and inner darkness. This thematic focus has sometimes drawn criticism, with some listeners finding it confrontational while others appreciate its directness.

The band has released seven full-length albums along with various EPs and singles. Their catalog includes tracks like "An Eye For An Eye" and a cover of Iron Maiden's "Iron Maiden," showing some range within their established sound. The current lineup features vocalist Aleksey "Lesyar" Bulgakov, guitarist Dmitry "Infernal" Zubarev, bassist Sergey "Son" Nikonov, and drummer Sergey "Ronin" Rusakov.
