Zoids Shin Seiki formed in Tokyo in 1994 with Hideki Fujiwara on vocals, Jin Otsuka on guitar, Junji Ueno on bass, and Ryota Kimura on drums. They later performed as Zero. Their early sound had an industrial edge, but they moved toward more atmospheric territory over time.
Their song "No Future" became a notable track, with its moody tone and lyrics that some listeners connected with. The band released albums like "Psychedelic Speed" in 1996, "Zero" in 2001, and "No Future" in 2003.
Zoids Shin Seiki / Zero disbanded in 2010. Their music, which blended electronic and rock elements, found an audience both in Japan and internationally.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
