Zoli Ádok formed in 2016 around singer-songwriter Zoli Ádám and producer Csaba Horváth, with Máté Csehi later joining on keyboards and electronic drums. Their debut single 'Dance With Me' came out in 2017 and found an audience in Hungary. The following year they released their first album, 'The Night Is Our Day.'
Their sound mixes electronic production with Hungarian folk touches, a combination that shows up across their records. After that first album came 'Waves' in 2020 and 'Elysium' in 2022. The band works collaboratively, with Ádám handling most of the lyrics and Horváth shaping the production.
In 2019, Zoli Ádok faced some criticism after performing at a political rally. They've also used their platform at times to talk about social issues like mental health awareness. The group won the Fonogram Award for Best Electronic Album in 2018 and again in 2020.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
