Zoltar formed in New York City in the early 2000s with Vito Roccoforte on vocals, Anthony DeCurtis on guitar, and Matt Hartle on bass. Their debut album 'The Call' came out around that time, followed by 'The Divine Equation' and 'The Heretic's Guide to Enlightenment.' In 2006, they released 'Evil Churches,' a song that criticized organized religion and became their most talked-about track.
That song, along with others like 'Lord Zoltar' and 'War, Fire & Domination,' gave them a reputation for direct lyrics over rock arrangements. They put out 'The Age of Aquarius' in 2023, showing they're still writing and recording.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
