Zombie-Loan formed in Tokyo around 2006, with vocalist Chihiro and guitarist Kazuma at the core. They started playing live shows locally, building a following before releasing their self-titled debut album in 2008. That record mixed rock and electronic touches, setting up songs like "Chain Ring" and "Ice Bullet" that would become fan favorites.
By 2013, they put out "Another Sky," which included the title track and "Solitary Serenade." The band's lineup around that time included bassist Ryota and drummer Yuma. Their sound kept shifting, pulling in bits of punk and other styles without settling into one formula.
They kept recording through the 2010s, with albums like "Quantum" in 2016 and "Singularity" in 2019. Tracks such as "Don't Love Me" and "Save Your Soul" show their tendency toward darker, melodic rock that avoids easy categorization.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
