Zombie Militia formed in the late 1990s when Raz Razah and D.S. Vinnie started working together. Their debut album 'Bottleneck' came out in 2002 and developed a cult following. They kept releasing records through the 2000s, including 'The Serpent's Tongue' in 2005 and 'The Devil's Carnival' in 2009.
Their music mixed industrial rock, metal, and electronic elements, with lyrics that often dealt with alienation and darker social themes. Songs like 'Bottleneck' and 'Destructive Rituals' showed their blend of atmospheric sound and confrontational energy.
In 2007, Razah was arrested during a Los Angeles show for onstage drug use, which became a well-known incident in their story. The band continued putting out albums like 'Dead Zone' in 2013 and 'Ashes & Embers' in 2018, maintaining their particular sound and dedicated audience.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
