A metal band that mixed speed, aggression, and some melody across albums from 2005 to 2016.
For a good sense of their sound, 'Damnation Dressed In Flesh' and 'A Lullaby To Those Still Alive' frame that mix of aggression and melody pretty well.
Zonaria's debut track 'Full Spectrum Dominance' got attention in metal circles back in 2005, and they kept that aggressive style going through songs like 'Damnation Dressed In Flesh' and 'At War With The Inferior.' Their lyrics sometimes drew criticism for being graphic, but they defended them as reflecting harsh realities. The band's sound drew from earlier acts like Testament and Slayer, which gave them a place in that lineage.
They came out of Southern California playing a mix of thrash and speed metal with some melodic touches. After their 2005 debut, they released several albums including Omega Point in 2007 and The Burning Shadow in 2010, then kept putting out records through 2016's Dissonance.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
