Zoo Humanos formed in 1999 at the University of Concepción, with Danilo Donoso on vocals, guitarists Rodrigo and Gonzalo Canales, bassist Andrés Herrera, and drummer Felipe González. They started playing in small venues around Chile, developing a sound that felt immediate and unpolished.
Their first album, "Música para Camaleones," came out in 2006. Three years later they released "Equilibrio Inconstante," which included the title track and songs like "Não Finja" and "Save Money." Donoso's lyrics often touched on social and political themes, which sometimes sparked debate.
The band worked with other Chilean musicians including Gepe and Los Tres. Their lineup stayed mostly consistent through the years, with Donoso remaining the central voice.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
