Zoppo is an Italian rock band that formed in Rome in the early 2000s. The group includes Giuseppe Zigrino on vocals, Alessandro Moroni on guitar, Francesco Bruno on bass, and Gianluca Ricciardi on drums. They've released several albums, starting with 'Diamante' in 2004, followed by 'Sogni e Diamanti' in 2006, 'Non c'è più tempo' in 2009, 'Il silenzio è complicità' in 2012, and 'Fino all'ultimo respiro' in 2016.
Their song 'Diamante' became popular in Italy, and other tracks like 'Dias de Choro' and 'Frio Na Barriga' appear in their catalog. The band's sound draws from hard rock acts like Led Zeppelin and AC/DC, but also incorporates melodic elements. Ricciardi left the band in 2017, and they've since worked with drummers including Stefano Cenci and Andrea Tremolada.
Zoppo has maintained a presence in Italian rock with their straightforward approach to music. They continue to perform and record, keeping to their established style without much deviation from the rock foundations they built early on.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
