Zorak was a Brazilian hardcore punk band that formed in the mid-1980s. The group took its name from the Space Ghost Coast to Coast character, and its original lineup included vocalist Paulo "Zé" Henrique, guitarist Daniel "Dani" Weksler, bassist João "Joãozinho" Porfirio, and drummer Pedro "Pedrão" Cerveira.
Their music was fast and raw, with lyrics that often addressed political issues like police brutality and inequality. Songs like "Eu Vou Chutar Tua Cabeça" and "Vou Te Matar" reflected the band's confrontational style, which sometimes led to performance bans in certain cities.
Zorak released three studio albums between 1987 and 1991: "Guerrilha," "Fogo Cruzado," and "Agonia." Their aggressive approach to hardcore punk found an audience in Brazil and helped shape the country's punk scene during that period.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
