Zorica Brunclik started singing with the Croatian band Putokazi in 1986. She went solo in 1990 with her debut album 'Ja Znam,' which included the title track about unrequited love. Some of her songs like 'Boze, boze' and 'Dajte pesme i meraka' became popular in the years that followed.
She recorded several albums through the 1990s and 2000s, including 'Zoveš Me' in 1992 and 'Važan Si Mi' in 2004. Her lyrics often dealt with love and loss, and she worked with other Croatian artists like Oliver Dragojević and Gibonni. In 2005, she was treated for breast cancer and returned to performing afterward.
Brunclik's music stayed in circulation with songs like 'Opa cupa' and 'A Tebe Nema' remaining familiar to Croatian audiences. She kept recording into the late 2000s with albums such as 'Odlazim Bez Traga' in 2008.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
