Zorros del Atlas formed in Guadalajara in 1997, taking their name from the local football team Club Atlas. They're best known for "Himno de Atlas," which became an anthem for the club's supporters. The band includes Alfonso "Poncho" Lizárraga on vocals and bass, Adolfo "Fito" Lizárraga on guitar, and Alejandro "Ale" Lizárraga on drums, along with Miguel "Miguelón" Martínez on trumpet and Jaime "El Cuervo" Sánchez on saxophone.
Their music pulls from traditional Mexican rhythms, rock, and ska. They've worked with other Mexican acts like La Gusana Ciega, Maldita Vecindad, and Julieta Venegas. Their albums include Zorros del Atlas from 1999, Revolución del Amor in 2001, and Himno de Atlas in 2004.
In 2009, they dealt with some legal issues around using the Atlas logo on merchandise. They kept playing shows at Atlas matches, where "Himno de Atlas" gets the crowd going. They put out El Regreso del Zorro in 2014.
