Zouk-Kizomba is a band that works with zouk and kizomba rhythms, sometimes adding touches of soul and R&B. Their single 'All Of Me (Kizomba)' got some international attention. The group includes Christelle Dabisse on vocals, Tino Tourigny on drums and production, and Kévin Le Boucher on guitar and songwriting.
They released an album called Kolé Séré that mixed traditional zouk with modern kizomba beats, and an EP titled Immigrant that dealt with themes of displacement. Some traditionalists criticized their fusion approach, but they kept working with it anyway.
The band has played at various festivals and had their music placed in some films and television shows. They've continued to incorporate other genres into their sound over time.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
