Zouk Love En Francais was a French-Caribbean group formed in 1997 by singers Vitaa and Diam's. Their debut album 'Afrik' came out in 2000, featuring the single 'Pour Toi' that became a hit. The song had a catchy melody and straightforward lyrics that connected with listeners.
Diam's left the group in 2009 to pursue a solo career, while Vitaa continued with the project. Vitaa released several solo albums and worked with artists like Youssou N'Dour and Corneille. The group's later albums included 'Cœur de moi' in 2011 and 'Essentielles' in 2015.
In 2012, Diam's stepped away from music entirely, citing personal and religious reasons. The group kept performing and recording without her, maintaining a presence in French-Caribbean music circles.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
