Zsa Zsa Padilla was born in 1964 to music producer Eddie Padilla and singer Eva Cariño. She started recording as a solo artist at sixteen, putting out her first album 'Dream Girl' in 1981. Her career really took shape in 1989 with the album 'Hiram,' whose title track became a standard in Filipino pop.
Her voice suited the big, emotional ballads that defined much of her work. Songs like 'Kahit Na,' 'Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay,' and 'Saan Ka Man Naroroon' were radio fixtures for years. She kept recording through the 1990s and into the 2000s, with albums like 'Ikaw Lamang' and 'Maging Sino Ka Man.'
In 2018, she released a self-titled album that worked with some younger musicians, suggesting she was still interested in how her sound might fit with newer production. She's performed regularly in concerts and on television since then.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
