Zthayy formed in 2015 as a trio with Bruno Araújo on vocals, Pedro Almeida on guitar, and Leo Monteiro on drums. They released their debut EP 'Viver É Sonhar' in 2017. The following year, their single 'É Apenas o Início' became their breakthrough track.
In 2019, the band faced plagiarism allegations regarding 'É Apenas o Início,' which they denied and were later dismissed. Their music draws from pop, rock, and electronic sounds, with influences mentioned including Coldplay, U2, and Brazilian rock group Charlie Brown Jr.
