Zuquine formed in the late 1990s with vocalist and guitarist Pitty, bassist Duda Gouveia, and drummer Leo Maia. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2003, which included songs like 'Depois do Sonho' and '5:45.' The band's sound mixed rock, punk, and reggae, and they often wrote about social and political themes.
Leo Maia left the band in 2004, and André Moreno joined as drummer around 2005. They released three more albums: 'Tá na Moda' in 2006, 'Me Chama' in 2009, and 'Caminho da Fé' in 2011.
Some of their other notable songs include 'A Ponte,' 'Coisa,' and 'Noite Perfeita.' Pitty's direct lyrics and the band's straightforward approach to their music kept them active through the 2000s and into the early 2010s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
