Zweiraumwohnung

Zweiraumwohnung is a German electronic duo formed in 1997 by Inga Humpe and Tommi Eckart. Humpe had been part of Neue Deutsche Welle before this project, and together they built a sound around delicate melodies and introspective lyrics. Their song '2 Von Millionen Von Sternen' gives a good sense of that approach, with its atmospheric quality and thoughtful tone.

They've released eight studio albums, including 'Dreck und Glitzer' which found some critical and commercial footing. Other tracks like '36 Grad' and 'Bleib Doch Bis Es Schneit' show their range within that electronic framework, often touching on themes of love and everyday reflection without getting overly dramatic.

In 2006, their album 'Viel passiert' drew some attention for including a song with explicit language, but they kept it as is. They've picked up an Echo award for Best Electronic Album along the way, but mostly they've just kept making music that feels quietly consistent rather than chasing trends.
