Zxmyr formed in Buenos Aires around 2004, with siblings Juan and María Martínez at the center. They started playing local venues, and one of their early songs, 'Quizás Llevarte,' eventually became a breakout single in 2010. That track led to their first album, 'El Despertar,' which came out that same year.
Their sound has shifted across a handful of albums, including 'El Regreso' in 2013 and 'Tiempo' in 2017. Some listeners found their later work more abstract, but they kept a steady lineup with Juan on vocals and guitar, María on keyboards, and bassist Juan Pablo Robledo, who joined in 2012. Other songs like 'Bendita Mi Calle' and 'Cuando Te Vas' show up in their catalog.
They put out another album called 'Nuevo Amanecer' in 2022. The band has worked with other artists at times, like on the track 'Quien Sabe Mañana' with Toser One.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
