Zygga formed in Vilnius in 2016 around vocalist Paulius Sinkevičius and guitarist Justinas Kirslys. The band's name comes from the Lithuanian word for 'light,' and they later added drummer Mantas Rimdžius and keyboardist Aistė Smilgevičiūtė to round out their lineup.
Their debut album in 2018 was titled 'ŠViesos Greičiu,' which translates to 'speed of light.' The song of the same name drew some attention in 2020 when it was briefly kept off national radio, though the band didn't change their approach.
They put out a second album called 'Tarp Žemės ir Dangaus' in 2022 and have played festivals like Vilnius Music Week and MENT Helsinki. Their music tends to blend pop and rock with some electronic textures, but they've mostly avoided fitting neatly into one category.
