Zyon

Zyon is a four-piece band from Portland, Oregon that started playing together in the late 2000s. Their lineup includes vocalist Atlas, guitarist Echo, bassist Zephyr, and drummer Aethon. They recorded their first album 'Ashes to Embers' in 2010, followed by 'The Shadow of the Sun' in 2014 and 'Into the Void' in 2018.

Their song 'Chasing the Dragon' came out in 2016 and became their most recognizable track. Atlas has said some of the lyrics draw from his own experiences with substance abuse. Other songs in their catalog include 'The Last Moon,' 'A Crow on My Shoulder,' and 'A Cursive Career.'

Zyon's music tends toward darker themes and atmospheric arrangements that mix rock with electronic textures. They've maintained a steady output of albums while keeping a fairly low public profile outside their recordings.
