E revelou esta verdade
quando aqui viveu em carne.

para a sua própria glória e vontade,
senão exclusivamente
para a glória e vontade do Pai.
Quem assim procede,
será bem guardado
de qualquer sentimento
de auto-exaltação,
ou de busca de glória
e de aplauso.
Se alguém quiser se manter
longe deste sentimento
perverso da auto-exaltação,
da soberba, da vanglória,
deve ser imitador
de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
Não há nisso nenhum mistério
Paulo assim procedeu,
e por isso pôde ser tão útil
na obra do ministério.
Este é o segredo
de se manter sempre humilde,
sobretudo quando
muito usado por Deus:
tudo fazer
para a Sua exclusiva glória.
Disso Deus se agrada,
E fica satisfeito,
ao nos ver caminhando
em busca do que é perfeito
E nós também ficamos
satisfeitos de verdade,
somente quando assim procedemos,
pela recepção do poder
da Sua graça e bondade.
Deus é glorificado
diante dos homens
quando eles vêem o Seu poder,
unção, verdade e justiça
operando em nossas vidas com amor,
e reconhecem portanto,
que isto não procede de nós,
mas que nos vem
da parte do nosso amado Senhor.
