7 Minutes in Heaven came together in the early 2000s with Brian Bell on vocals, Matt Waber on guitar, Evan Karcher on bass, and Ben McKee on drums. Their self-titled 2005 debut album included the single "California," which became something of a home-state anthem for the band. They followed that with three more albums over the next several years: "You Are Here" in 2008, "Private Party" in 2010, and "Heartbreak in Stereo" in 2013.
In 2009, bassist Evan Karcher left the group and was replaced by Steve Chang. The band kept playing and touring through the 2010s, but announced a hiatus in 2018. Their songs like "#SorryNotSorry" and "Serenity" still get streamed by listeners who remember that early 2000s pop-punk sound.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
