Climb up into my knees

Trail along my neck

A track to redeem

Nailing down my face

An only way to achieve

The highest plain in pain

Meadows where you may decease

Your feet, your bones, your skin

You crawl, you beg, you dream

For me, for us, for them

I’ve found my way carving wounds

that won’t heal

As my skin bleeds out, I languish still

My only solace is a silent grief

For it feels too painful to cry

It must be sorrowful, bitter and harmful

Because every thorn relieves the truth

Per aspera ad astra
