I Lie

I'd like a house all made of clay

With purple walls i'd sleep all day

With an orange staircase and throw rugs

With flower vases and coffee mugs

I'd like to share my adobe house with

You and our puppies and fish and mouse

We could lie on our backs and lounge all day

And open the windows all through may

I'd like a kitchen with red and blue walls

And i wanna hang pictures of us in our halls

I'd like a backyard with a pool in the ground

And a stereo system with a wicked phat sound

I'd like to share my adobe house with

You sitting on our plush velvet couch

We could paint the walls gold or maroon

And i'd like to move there very soon

I'd like a house that two stories high

I could stay inside and bake cherry pie

I'd put little candles all over the room

We could sit outside under the moon every night

I'd like to share my adobe house with

You by my side, that's what life's all about

I sit sometimes and dream of the day
