Bando de Tangarás formed in 1998 in Feira de Santana, Bahia, with founding members Fábio Lessa, Victor Azevedo, and Pedro Faissal. They started playing local festivals and bars, working with the traditional music of northeastern Brazil.
Their song 'G e Ge (Seu Getúlio)' sparked debates about former Brazilian president Getúlio Vargas. The band released a self-titled debut album in 2006. Fábio Lessa handles most of the songwriting and lead vocals.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
