The world outside the window's demanding the impossible

Well I'm at it again, and it's no surprise

Pimping out my private life under the lights

A tune in my heart and my heart on my sleeve

Whistling a melody into the breeze

My thoughts and my feelings are jumbled in verse

I try to make some sense of it all come the chorus

But I'll keep on going 'til the going gets gone

I'm still trying to remember the words to that song

But it don't matter what you say, it matters what you do

It's not where you are, but it's where you want to be

Let them fuss and fight, if they think they'll fill they're pockets up

Let's only take what we need

And that is easy to say but what is it we need

I'll take good health and happiness

Both are important, neither can be bought

Our health is out of our hands and left to the Gods

And the secret of happiness is anyone's guess

One minute I know it, the next I forget

But I know it's out there on a familiar shore

And that's why I've been singing these songs for so long

But it don't matter what I sing, or who I'm singing to

As long as the road I'm on leads me back to you
