Smells Like Bullshit

I been walking and talking

Singing and dancing

Laughing and joking as well

About all of the things that are happening

While trying to ignore that smell

But sometimes it gets through

There's nothing you can do

In fact I just got a big whiff

I know you can smell it

You know I can smell it

We both know what it is

But I don't wanna bury my head in the sand

I know there are things that I don't understand

But I can smell the bullshit from a mile away

And, man it smells really strong today

I'm sick of slogans

Or teary emotives

Sponsored and branded events

Target marketing

Product placement

Manufactured consent

It's completely consuming

We're swimming in bullshit

No wonder it smells like it does

Somebody save me

Take me to safety

At least give me a wash

Cause I don't wanna bury my head in the sand

I know there are things that I don't understand

But I can smell the bullshit from a mile away

Sold off his honesty

Owned by a company

Under an umbrella of fear

Decorative lies

And soundbites that sound like

Things that you wanna hear

Well it can't be that hard

To find the truth

Or opinion without an agenda

I'll tell you what though
