Blind Iris formed in London in 2017 around singer-songwriter Ethan Jones, guitarist Jake Carter, and drummer Sam Taylor. They started playing on city streets and at local open mics, building an audience with their live shows.
Their debut single "All In Your Mind" became their most recognizable track. It appeared on their 2019 debut album of the same name, which mixed rock with introspective lyrics. They followed it with a second album, "Echoes of the Void," in 2021.
Jones's lyrics sometimes addressed social issues and personal struggles, which drew criticism from some quarters. The band kept writing in that vein regardless. Other songs in their catalog include "Drifting Soul," "Drive," and "Earth Blankets White."
