"Vrij?", vraagt ma, "wat vrij? Die schoppen
He, en waar is dan de heer?"
Pa zucht hoorbaar. He, dat zuchten
Welke kant ben ik nou weer
Blinde? Nou dan... tja, hoe zat het
Ook weer met die harten-tien
"Tel dan, kletskous!", dondert paatje
En dan moet je maatje zien!!
Pa en Ma verliezen samen
Elke robber strijk en zet
En als pa dan moet betalen
Gaan ze met krakeel te bed:
"Goudsmit jij maar in je eentje"
Kankert pa, "jij leert het nooit!"
"Zoooooo?", hoont ma, "wie heeft een robber
En wie heeft klein slam vergooid?"
Samen spelen ze al kijvend
Spel na spel, zie Goudsmit!, na
Paatje maakt het meest spektakel
Maar het laatste woord houdt ma
En als pa benauwd gaat dromen
Dan draait ma zich nijdig om:
"Dat vergooit klein slam! Zo'n ezel!"
"En toch", kreunt pa, "speel jij stom!!..."
