Carry On

Carry On formed in Vancouver around 2010, with guitarist and singer Dustin Burnett and drummer Justin Eastwood at the start. They were joined by bassist Adam Reed and keyboardist Dave Kroetsch. The band built a following locally with energetic shows before releasing their self-titled debut album in 2014, which included the song 'Waiting On Forever.'

They've had some lineup changes over time. Adam Reed left the band in 2012, replaced by Jon Hansen. Justin Eastwood also departed later, with some public disagreement about royalties that was eventually settled. Through it all, they kept making music, putting out a second album called 'Where We Roam.'

Their songs like 'Roll With The Punches,' 'A Life Less Plagued,' and 'Broken Strings' have a melodic rock feel with lyrics that lean toward the introspective. They're one of those bands that built things steadily through local shows and a couple of albums, without much flash or drama beyond the ordinary ups and downs of being in a band.
