Cashis was a rap group from Detroit that started in the early 2000s. They originally called themselves Cash Money Records but had to change the name because of copyright issues. The main members were Cashis, whose real name is Juan Manuel Luis Navarro Jr., along with Young Jeezy and Lil Boosie.
They put out several projects including The County Hound EP in 2006, Euthanasia in 2007, and The Art of Dying in 2011. One of their better-known tracks is "You Don't Know," which features Young Jeezy. Other songs like "Thoughts of Suicide" and "Bring Em Back" show the kind of material they worked on.
Cashis himself had some legal trouble, including a marijuana possession conviction that led to prison time. The group also had disagreements with their label Def Jam Recordings. They kept releasing music through the 2010s with projects like The County Hound 2 and Euthanasia 2.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
