LSD taught me a lot about me

Or would I have figure it out just naturally?

It's too late to tell 'cause I'm talkin' to hell

With all the other acid casualties

Spent a lot of time staring at ceiling fans

And trippin' on stereo panning

Came to a new level of understanding

But it never much came in handy

And now I'm just so damaged

But all those straight minds are just so narrow

And me and my friends are wonderin' just where oh where

Where did our minds go?

I learned a lot from smokin' pot

Then again maybe not

Can't remember what I forgot

I do believe I'm shaking up our conceptions of reality

But goddamn if I don't got friends

Who forget where they were headin'

And they're lookin' every direction

And all they see is dead ends

Some of my friends are already talkin'

How they miss the old days

But they never seems to connect it

With their new ways

No they never think of changin' things

They just order up another drink

And the reasons why we're gettin' fucked up

End up not matterin' that much

Well yeah, I get fucked up every once in a while

But we all got friends who gotta get fucked up just to smile

And it ain't a smile if you gotta force it
