Their music pulled from punk, noise, industrial, and hip-hop, with dissonant guitars and Johnson's raw lyrics. Songs like '313' and '911' reflected their connection to Detroit's urban landscape. They followed with albums like 'So Far, So Good' in 1995 and 'The Last Mile' in 1997, incorporating more electronic elements and noise loops.
D Doze disbanded in 1998 after a series of albums that never quite fit mainstream expectations. Their sound, particularly on tracks like 'My Band,' challenged conventional rock structures and drew a cult following that appreciated their uncompromising approach.
