Death Nest

Because of you I bear all things present

Building up this far has not always been pleasant

I hope you have something great for me

But you never said that this would be easy

I’ve had my battles with insanity and depression tries to get a grip on me

I won’t slip beneath the surface

I won’t live my life void of purpose

Walls made of flesh fall down

Towers witness, bow down

Towers witness the rising of a dead man

Come follow me and things could end badly

The blood of saints cries out

No price is too high for the sake of eternity

Never promising comfort or success

You said I would live detached from this death nest

Christ alone is my reward

And eternity is my portion

Save me from this death nest

This life is a gift, one I choose to cherish

We’re all living on borrowed time

We use this time to heap debt on our souls

Depravity has taken man’s control
