Kreeg opa een beschuit bij zijn ontbijt
En deden alle zusters even aardig

Een feniks rijzend uit sigarenas
Maar 's avonds is de hoofdzuster gekomen
Nadat de gasten waren weggegaan
En heeft al die cadeautjes meegenomen
Waarvan het gebruik hem niet was toegestaan
Tabak en zoetigheid, zelfs het vest met mouwen
Daar wol nog wel eens irriteren wou
