A London band that built a following on live shows and lyrics that stirred discussion.
For a sense of their early sound, 'The First Star' and 'Walking Away' from that first album hold up. 'You Are Not The Voice In My Head' is the one that stuck around.
Eddplant's 'Lost in the Shadows' became a fan favorite from their 2012 debut, and their lyrics sometimes touched political topics that sparked conversation. They worked with engineer Chris Lord-Alge on that first album, which gave their indie rock sound some studio polish. Songs like 'You Are Not The Voice In My Head' and 'Nothing to Worry About' kept showing up in their setlists for years.
They formed in London in the late 2000s with Evan Jones on vocals and guitar, Leah Morgan on bass, Marcus Blake on drums, and Anya Patel on keyboards. After 'Debut' in 2012, they put out 'Echoes' in 2015, 'Ashes' in 2018, and 'Rebirth' in 2021.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
