El pescador
la vió con luz de luna,
y al quererla tocar,
para escapar de él
se convirtió en espuma.
Desde entonces cada vez
que la luna es luna llena
en su barquilla
va el pescador
buscando un rumor ...
pero el único cantar
nunca es de la sirena,
sino de olas
al reventar allá,
en la mar serena.
Bajo de él,
en las profundidades,
jugaba la sirena
con perlas y corales,
en libertad
muy lejos de su alcance;
sin salir nunca más
porque la ley del mar
no sabe de romance.
